      How-to adjust hold-open on an Impressions Storm Door.

      Follow our helpful process here to successfully adjust the hold-open on your Impressions Storm Door.

      Tools Required

      1. Allen wrench Icon_AllenWrenchSet_85gray-1

      Steps to complete

      1) Locate slider

      2) Loosen set screw

      3) Move pad

      4) Tighten set screw

       

      Step 1) Locate slider

      ImpressionsAdjustHoldOpenStep1If the storm door on your Impressions system swings open a bit too far, you can easily adjust it. Locate the slider pad in the drip cap.

       

      Step 2) Loosen set screw

      ImpressionsAdjustHoldOpenStep2Use the provided Allen wrench to loosen the set screw closest to the hinge side.

       

      Step 3) Move pad

      ImpressionsAdjustHoldOpenStep3Move the pads toward the handle side until you reach the desired hold open position. Do not move the pad toward the hinge side beyond its original position.

       

      Step 4) Tighten set screw

      ImpressionsAdjustHoldOpenStep4Once you've adjusted your opening, then tighten the set screw. Adjustment is now complete.
